The businessman, who is being held in Malta for fraud, said that his late mother is responsible for the accusations of fraud against him.

Alberto Chang, Chilean businessman creator of the controversial Arcano Group, He pointed to his late mother, Verónica Rajii, as responsible for the accusations of fraud that exist against him and for which our country is seeking his extradition.

In an interview with TVN’s Special Report from Malta, where he is being held for credit card fraud and aggravated theft, Chang said that “Even though she is dead, I still cannot forgive her, even after death.”

The businessman, who fled to Europe with his mother after allegations of a pyramid scheme arose, explained that after escaping to Malta she told him that “we have to be able to meet all the obligations. All the money is in international accounts and in order to cover all this we have to move money from the trust.”

Since he was wanted by the Justice, Alberto Chang stated that he gave a series of instructions to Verónica Rajii so that she could access the alleged trust of 100 million dollars that she ownsbut she ignored him and was arrested in Chile.

“I told him Look, this situation is critical, we are going to run out of money, and I told him If you return to Chile, they will put you in jail and we will never see each other again. Then he told me You’re being dramatic, nothing is going to happen to me, I have never signed, I am not the general manager, I have already sold my shares, I have nothing to do with it.. Which is true,” he added.

But upon her return, Chang’s mother was arrested and sentenced to four years of probation. after accepting responsibility for the events for which she was being investigated along with her son.

This situation, according to Alberto Chang, caused them to lose the possibility of accessing their trust.since with her in prison, six months passed like that more or less, December arrived, in December her access to the trust expired, because these accesses are given year by year and expire at the end, in December, and I had in turn, my extradition began, I was arrested here, my trial began and I spoke with her and I told her Look, what you’ve done is unforgivable.“.

“I told him You could have stayed in Malta. No, you decided to go to Chile even though I asked you to. In Chile I told you to please stay because if you move they will arrest you. You moved, you were arrested. I was never able to defend myself, you have been left as the victim, but in reality the only person who has been… that deep down even though I wanted to pay and I couldn’t, I have been me.”, Chang explained,

That was the last time he spoke to Verónica Rajii, in December 2016, since his mother died six years later and “even though she has died, I still can’t forgive her, even after her death. Why? Because I’m still living this and I’m still trying, I mean, “What I asked her to do, which was to leave Malta for the trust and access the money, is what I still want to do, eight years later.”
