Alcampo has distributed 31.2 million euros in 2022 in bonuses and shares through profit sharing plans and personal and team variable remuneration in Spain.

Specifically, more than 12 million euros have been delivered as ‘profit sharing’ to the more than 16,000 workers who are shareholders of the company.

The voluntary shareholding plan has been present in Spain since 1996, being a tool for active participation in the company and of which 88% of the company currently forms part.

Alcampo He explained that in addition to the distribution plans for shareholders, there are others aimed at the entire workforce by which the good results achieved are recognized and rewarded, both as a team and individually, having distributed in 2022, under these concepts, a total of 19 million euros.

The chain’s human resources director, Patricia González, stressed that the “cornerstone of Alcampo’s human resources policy has always been to encourage participation in the company from a holistic point of view.” “The distribution of benefits and variable remuneration are part of this policy, within the framework of which responsibility, opinion, permanent ‘feedback’ and, of course, corporate volunteering and training are encouraged”, she has indicated. .

Alcampo launched its corporate volunteer project in 2018, which was born to share experiences and connect with the immediate environment. Since its creation, more than 11,400 workers have participated in activities related to environmental and social improvement, as well as knowledge and experience of the product from its origin. In 2022, more than 650 people participated in these conferences for 1,500 hours.

Regarding training, throughout 2022 210,000 hours of training were given, in which the distribution firm invested 32% more than in 2021, exceeding five million euros.

At present, Alcampo, after the recent acquisition of Dia establishments, has 539 stores, including 80 hypermarkets and small hypermarkets and 459 supermarkets (131 of them franchised), as well as 53 gas stations, an online commerce service ‘ and a staff of more than 23,000 workers.
