(Wasim Ahmed) Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar, who is the head of umpiring in international cricket, has crossed another milestone.
According to the details, Aleem Dar has become the first umpire to serve as umpire for a record 551 matches in the history of cricket for the longest period i.e. 25 consecutive years. Debuted in the middle match, Aleem Dar has the most one-day international experience in the world.
Aleem Dar supervised the Test match between England and Bangladesh in Dhaka on October 21, 2003, and umpired the first T20 match of his career between Pakistan and Australia at the Dubai Stadium on May 7, 2009, and received the World’s Best Umpire Award 3 times Aleem Dar has umpired in 231 ODI matches, 145 Test matches are on his record, Aleem Dar has officiated in 70 T20 matches, Aleem Dar has overseen the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006 and 2009, the ODI World Cup in 2007 and 2011. The final was also supervised by Aleem Dar, who also has umpiring in the 2009 Women’s World Cup final to his credit.
