The head of the Risk Management Unit in Caldas, Félix Giraldo, made a call to the communities of Caldas that are located near the rivers and streams that are born in the upper part of the volcano so that they are attentive to the official information of the authorities.

Among the protocols to be adopted in that area are the closure of the National Natural Park Los Nevados and the evacuation of the areas surrounding the volcano, particularly the riverside areas or ravines.
