The Department of School Education has announced that a compulsory general examination will be held for 10th and 12th class students and the marks obtained in the diversion examination will not be taken into account for the general examination. Due to the fact that the schools are open for a few days, the school education department has decided to conduct the diversion examination as its model before the general examination in the interest of the students.

Accordingly, the 10th and 12th class first turn exams started on February 9 and ended yesterday. Meanwhile, the leaking of question papers at two private schools in Thiruvannamalai caused a stir.

Following that, the Thiruvannamalai District Primary Education Officer was suspended during the investigation. Notices have also been sent to the two private schools involved in the allegations seeking clarification.

Meanwhile, school education officials have released important information. Accordingly, ” it was decided to conduct 2 diversion examinations, similar to the general examination, in order to prepare the students who were to write the general examination for it. With the completion of the first diversion exam, the 2nd diversion exam will be conducted soon. General examination will be held for 10th and 12th class students.

The marks obtained in the diversion examination will not be taken into account for the general examination. Therefore, students and parents should not be afraid, the diversion exam is conducted only as a basic exercise for students to write the general exam.
