Searches are being carried out this Thursday important in the south of Berlin to try to find a wild animal that could be a lioness, said authorities, who urged residents in the alert zone to stay indoors.
“The wild animal could be a lioness,” says the Berlin police in a message on Twitter while the alert, issued during the night, initially affected districts of the south-west of the German capital.
The alert zone was then extended to several municipalities on the outskirts of Berlin.
“The wild animal that escaped has not yet been found! We ask them not to leave their homes,” the police in Brandenburg, the Land surrounding Berlin, wrote on Twitter around 07:30 local time (05:30 GMT).
