A low pressure area formed yesterday in the Indian Bay of Bengal region adjacent to the Southwest Bay of Bengal. Due to this low pressure area, a warning has already been issued that there is a possibility of rain in most places in Tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal on 11th, 12th and 13th. Following this, the low pressure area will strengthen and become a deep depression or low pressure zone and may move in northwest direction towards Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coast.
As a result, it has been reported that the rain will continue till November 14 at various places in Tamil Nadu. In Tamil Nadu, 20 districts of Ranipet, Kanchipuram, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Trichy, Dindigul, Karur, Namakkal, Mayiladuthurai, Nagai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Nellai, Kanyakumari are expected to experience thunderstorm for the next 3 hours. The Chennai Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rain is likely.
