Shortly before the season-opener of the much-anticipated IPL 2022 edition, the Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a major setback.
Alex Hales has been ruled out of the ten-team IPL due to bio-bubble fatigue. Earlier, Gujarat Titans’ Jason Roy withdrew from the upcoming league season due to bubble fatigue.
The 15th edition of the IPL starts on March 26 in Mumbai. The 10 teams with 2 new additions to the IPL series will play in the tournament till May 29.
Safety and bio-bubble rules for players have been tightened as never before. Clear guidelines have been issued to all IPL teams in this regard.

In this case, Alex Hales has withdrawn from the IPL due to bio-bubble restrictions.
Hales has been ruled out of the IPL 15 season and has been replaced by Australia’s white-ball captain Aaron Finch. At the IPL 2022 mega auction held in mid-February, the Finch price did not go up.
Finch, who is currently affiliated with KKR, is set to play in his 9th IPL tournament. He joins the twice-winning KKR team for 15 million (INR 1.5 crore). For this amount KKR bought Alex Hales in a mega auction.

Finch’s IPL career is a rollercoaster ride. He has so far played for many teams like Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Lions, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Pune Warriors, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians.
In the T20s, Aaron Finch has amassed over 10,000 runs. He has an average run rate of over 30 and a strike rate of 140.
KKR, led by Shreyas Iyer, will play four-time champions and defenders MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of the season on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Earlier, England batsman Jason Roy announced his withdrawal from the IPL 2022 series. He has left the Gujarat Titans squad led by Hardik Pandya and announced his withdrawal from the IPL this year due to bio bubble.
