While the arrest of former Minister of Economy Alejandro Gil is still recent, details of a Cuban businessman who could be linked to the case come to light.

His name is Fernando Javier Albán Torres, one of the faces of the “private sector” on the Island of continuity and creative resistance.

The alleged businessman could be detained due to his closeness to Alejandro Gil, which is part of the soap opera that the regime itself is creating to buy time.

“Look at the guy they say is in prison, that he has an MSME, that he has to do with Gil, and that the people of Cienfuegos. All this novel or Netflix series that they are throwing at you…”, Otaola reviews.

The influencer cited sources that describe the character as brazen, corrupt and opportunistic, who studied Economics at the “Ignacio Agramonte” University of Camagüey and graduated in 2004.

Albán’s corrupt file that Alex Otaola was showing included the testimony of José Raúl Gallego, a Cuban journalist and teacher living in Mexico.

Gallego, also from Camagüey, recalled in a thread on the social network Twitter that the aforementioned was president of the pro-Castro University Student Federation (FEU).

When he held that position, the then students Joan Columbié and Harold Cepero, who supported the Varela Project, were expelled from the UC.

Cepero died alongside Oswaldo Payá, the creator of the aforementioned Project and was one of those who demanded that Albán, according to Gallego, expel them because their political ideas were based on the Constitution.

“We stand above the Constitution,” Albán answered them.

Alexander Otaola, to top it off, asserted that Fernando Javier Albán Torres is the owner of a company in Spain and showed the evidence.

“María Elvira, look at the faces of the Mipymeros who have nothing to do with it, the people who come to rescue the Cuban people!”said Otaola, alerting the Cuban-American congresswoman.
