The quarter-finals of the tournament at Rothenbaum will take place on Friday evening between Zhizhen Zhang and home hero Zverev. There was no previous contact. Olympic champion Zverev is considered the favourite, but the German is not quite fit due to his knee injury.
And the exceptional Chinese player Zhang not only achieved his best ranking this year, but also showed the audience in the Hanseatic city some excellent tennis.
