He recalled that the basic goal of developing the national memory pedagogy program is that, in order to strengthen young people’s sense of Hungarianness and “historical activity”, memorial sites can host an unlimited number of school groups.

He further said that

a proposal will soon be put before the government that will help 80-100 thousand children get to the national memorial sites.

Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó, president of the National Association of Large Families, pointed out that their current cooperation is particularly important because “

when a child learns about history and his country, he also learns about himself.

In addition to getting to know each other, according to him, attention should also be paid to the fact that the children “keep these memories in their hearts.”

Gábor Tomka, the deputy general director of scientific collections of the Hungarian National Museum, also emphasized that they are working to preserve and strengthen the Hungarian national identity. And for this, they try to remove obstacles from families, so that visiting museums is a pleasure for children as well.

He noted: the Hungarian National Museum already organizes summer camps and birthday parties for children.
