Alfonso Durazo begins credentialing of IMSS-Bienestar to access free medical care

The Governor of Sonora, Alfonso Durazo Montanobegan with the delivery of the first 912 credentialsout of a total of one million 065 thousand, of IMSS-Bienestar health programwhich provides care to people without social security so that they obtain free access to medical care, studies, medications and surgeries.

The Sonoran governor explained that the credentials will be delivered from July 2 to 6, at the Health Centers located in the municipalities of Hermosillo, Nogales, Guaymas, Cajeme, Navojoa, Caborca, among others. Before September 1, 560,000 will be granted and by the end of this year, there will be 1,065,000 credentials.

“The IMSS-Bienestar program is the health infrastructure intended to serve those Sonorans who do not have social health benefits. There are 1,065,000 Sonorans who will benefit,” he stressed.

In Sonora, it is estimated that there are just over one million people without social security. To date, a total of 275,661 people have registered: 3,536 on the online platform; 3,336 through the 17 functional modules and 268,789 from the records provided by the Ministry of Welfare.

It was during the morning conference on Tuesday, July 2, which was attended by Governor Alfonso Durazo, in which the head of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, announced that he began the delivery of this benefit destined to thousands of people from 23 states of the Mexican Republic, where this social program already operates, although the objective is to cover the entire country.

Also at the conference, the launch of new calls for applications open to 27 entities in the country was announced, aimed at: nursing assistants (1,027 positions); clinical nurses (2,619 positions).
