The delegation of the Algerian National Civil Aviation Agency concluded its work mission, after meeting with specialists in the Civil Aviation Authority, expressing its positive assessment of the capabilities of the African Airlines Company and its technical competencies, explaining its readiness and welcome to resume flights between the two countries.

The head of the delegation explained the initial results of the audit mission, and expressed his deep appreciation for the advanced level of digital systems that the Civil Aviation Authority relies on in monitoring, follow-up and evaluation operations of the basic elements to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation.

He also praised the performance rates and keenness of the security services concerned at Maitika Airport, which was evident through the inspection of security procedures for international flights at the airport.

He also praised the level of qualification, work guides, commitment to implementing the National Civil Aviation Security Program, and the periodic auditing and follow-up operations carried out by the departments and offices concerned with the Authority.

The Algerian delegation’s visit comes at the previous invitation of the Civil Aviation Authority, as part of the work program to restore the international flight network that linked Libya to other countries, most notably neighboring countries.

Following the issuance of the delegation’s mission report, all necessary requirements for approval for air transport companies from the two countries to begin operating regular flights between Libyan and Algerian airports will be completed.
