jpnn.com – PARIAMAN – A total of 1,491 honorary workers in Pariaman City, West Sumatra, have the opportunity to change their status to State Civil Apparatus or ASN through the 2024 PPPK selection.
Honorary employees within the Pariaman City Government have the opportunity to be appointed as ASN Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), after the formation is determined by the KemenPANRB.
“Alhamdulillah, our struggle (Pariaman City Government, ed.) in fighting for the fate of honorary workers to become PPPK has been granted by Allah SWT, as many as 1,491 Pariaman City residents have received the blessing of having their quota set by the center,” said Acting Mayor of Pariaman Roberia in Pariaman, Monday (2/8).
He said, by changing the status of honorary workers to PPPK, it will not only be able to improve their economy.
However, their dignity also increases because they are no longer modern forced laborers.
Roberia explained that they were called modern forced laborers because they had been working hard for Pariaman.
“But they must change, they must have the confidence and courage to unite to become better and more diligent employees, so that they can carry out the tasks entrusted to them,” he said.
Pariaman has 1,491 honorary workers working in various regional apparatus organizations with varying lengths of service.
Thousands of non-ASN or honorary workers have the opportunity to be appointed as ASN through the 2024 PPPK selection.
