Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has traveled to Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian president.

As reported by Day.Az on Tuesday, this was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the inauguration of the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will take place today. The event will take place in the Majlis of the Islamic Consultative Assembly at 16:00 Baku time.

More than 70 foreign representatives and 600 local and foreign journalists are expected to attend the event.

It should also be noted that in the second round of the snap presidential elections in Iran, held on July 5, the representative of the reformist camp, Masoud Pezeshkian, won, having collected almost 16.4 million votes. His opponent, the representative of the conservative camp, Saeed Jalili, collected 13.5 million votes.

Let us recall that on May 19, a helicopter flying from Khudaferin to Tabriz, with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in Tabriz Mohammad Ali Ali Hashemi, and the governor of East Azerbaijan Province Malik Rehmati on board, crashed.
