The German 400-meter runner Alicia Schmidt has accepted a model job at the Fashion Week in Milan. The marketing machinery of the athlete, named the “Sexiest Athlete in the World” by the “New York Times”, is still running at full speed. But there is a fine line to walk.

“I don’t want to be reduced to my looks,” Schmidt once said. But she walks the fine line that she wants to be perceived as an athlete, with pretty photos in miniskirts, high heels or a tight top but also the marketing machinery and could therefore be located on the catwalk rather than on the career path. Because there is still a lack of great success.
“I am surrounded by beautiful and unique women every day and not a fan of superficialities. My concentration belongs entirely to the performance on the track, ”she clarified a few weeks ago.
