We are currently developing a program, it will be ready in a day or two. Like a modern Google map. This was announced by GERB leader Boyko Borisov before party mayors. And he explained that there will be an interactive presentation of the important highlights and plans by region. “When you release it, we see the regional cities. By zooming in, are the settlements in these areas. In this way we will reach even the smallest village. In other words, when we talk about Vratsa, everyone in the settlement – villages, connectivity…”, described Borisov vividly.
“We will do what we were strongest in – infrastructure, connectivity between cities, the toll system, toll highways,” he presented the management plans.
For the first time, the introduction of a new toll tax for highways will be announced in the administrative documents of GERB. The concept is that the payment will be made like in our neighboring countries – at a certain distance there are “barriers” with a price range for all passing vehicles. With this money, the shortage of maintenance funds will be overcome, the former prime minister believes.
“A Black Sea highway can be given a concession – if they want to build it, they will be paid by the toll system,” he pointed out. And ITN proposed highway concessions in its management program, but then the idea did not meet enough support.
Vignettes will remain for secondary and tertiary roads. “Thus, people will be able to decide whether to travel on such roads, or to choose the luxury of highways that are paid for all over the world,” added Borisov.
The vignettes were introduced under the management of GERB, and the third cabinet “Borisov” introduced the electronic toll system in 2018.
A few days ago, Borisov also focused on the measures against drought, highlighting the completion of the “Danube” system. Now he also spoke about private companies: “When they drain the dams that are used for drinking water, we have to think about whether the state benefits from them.”
GERB will lead a “policy of creation”, assured the leader. A week ago, he called on the parties to seek shared responsibility on important topics, the most urgent – that 1 million Bulgarians are on water regime.
