Hyundai Motor India will launch the new generation Verna model on March 21. Hyundai has been releasing teasers for the all-new mid-size sedan for the past few weeks.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna model comes with a completely new design. Exterior The new generation Verna model sports a sporty design. This model is adapted from the Elantra car sold in the international market. The front of the car has a black finished grille, sharp LED headlamps, sport bumper.
It also gets a redesigned bonnet, LED lighting system, character line on the sides, all-new alloy wheels and a fast-back style roofline. It also gets connected LED tail lamps, a larger spoiler, and a revised rear bumper.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna model will be available in four variants namely EX, S, SX and SX(O).
Inside, the new generation Verna gets a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, digital instrument console, curved display, and wireless smartphone charger.
Infotainment and AC switch controller, 64-color ambient lighting, heated and cooled seats, power adjustable driver’s seat, electric sunroof, smart trunk, 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, Bose premium audio system, BlueLink connectivity.
The new Hyundai Verna is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.2 seconds.
10.9 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hyundai Verna has a lower base price compared to all its rivals (Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus) except the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
The new generation Hyundai Verna is priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai claims that 41% of all Hyundai Verna buyers from 2022 will be under the age of 30. The company said it has sold 4.65 lakh cars in India so far.
