National team coach Jesus Casas confirmed on Monday that all matches are important in order to qualify for the World Cup.
Casas said in the press conference for the match between our national team and its Kuwaiti counterpart tomorrow in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup – followed by the (INA): “All the matches we play in the second stage qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, including tomorrow’s match against Kuwait, are important for qualification.”
Casas added, “After our previous match with the Omani national team, we had a few days to prepare for tomorrow’s match against Kuwait,” stressing, “Working to avoid the mistakes made by the national team players,” indicating, “We will continue in the same manner in the previous matches.”
Casas said, “The Kuwaiti team is very motivated and prepared to win this match, and it played a great match against Jordan.”
Regarding the absence of player Ayman Hussein, Casas explained, “Ayman is an important player and we must deal with reality. We also have high-level substitutes who have previously succeeded in presenting a great level and scoring goals against opponents.”
For his part, national team player Ibrahim Bayesh confirmed during the conference that “our team is fully prepared to achieve full marks and make the Iraqi people happy,” noting that “the match against Kuwait is difficult.”
