Retirement pensions will soon increase. In a few weeks, around 15 million retirees will receive a little more money each month. These French people who withdraw from the world of work are holding fast to the announcement of the upcoming increase because, for them, it is impossible to negotiate the amount of their pension. Whether for basic pension or supplementary pension, one thing is certain, improvements will inevitably happen.
However, we should not expect levels as high as two years ago. Some will probably get tired, but the increase will be minimal. If the final data that allows the value of future pensions to be calculated is not yet known, the indicators for the first six months of the year are accurate enough to know the general trend.
First, it is the 13 million retirees who receive pensions from Agric-Arco who will benefit from the increase. Like every year, the private inflation pension fund plans to index pension funds to inflation… or nearly so. In fact, since last year, 0.4 points have been removed from the evolution of the financial index (without tobacco) known between October of the previous year and September of the current year.
At this level, inflation is around 2%, according to new data from INSEE, published in early June. By using the calculation formula now in force, Agric-Arco’s additional pension funds will be increased by 1.6% in the fall. If the figures can still be changed, one thing is certain: the balance will be around 2%.
For a person receiving 800 euros per month from the supplementary fund, this would equate to an increase of 12 to 16 euros per month, or between 144 and 192 euros more per year . This revaluation will not happen immediately. The final percentage will be determined in October with the application from pensions paid in early November.
Regarding the retirement pension fund, the order of magnitude will be similar to the additional pension fund. If the calculation formula is more complicated, we should expect an increase of around 2%, from January 1, 2025. For 1000 euros of pension of CNAV, MSA, SRE, CNRACL, FSPOEIE, SSI or even the CnavPL, the value will increase to 1020 euros, or an additional 240 euros per year. However, basic pensions may see an additional boost from the State. The decision will be that of the new government.
