All sectors of society and economies around the world will be covered by the COP29 agenda.
This was stated by the President of COP29, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev at the presentation of the Action Plan of Azerbaijan’s presidency of COP29, Day.Az reports.
According to him, COP29 will focus on solving problems with emissions into the atmosphere in trade, energy, tourism, and transport. COP29 will also focus on gender equality, education, and urbanization.
“We are trying to cover all important aspects of life. This is what inclusivity is. We will spare no effort to achieve sustainable development and inclusive results,” Babayev noted.
He stressed that the goal of COP29 is to make decisions that will limit global warming to 1.5 degrees.
“National adaptation plans, action plans, and numerous initiatives will be discussed at COP29. All steps will have global and regional significance,” Babayev said.
