All the big announcements from the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase event

Microsoft has unveiled in the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase the games that will arrive on the Xbox console and PC in the coming years. The event focused on games that are set to be launched in the coming year with the most notable being Starfield, Forza Motorsport and Diablo 4.

While the E3 show is not taking place this year and Microsoft, like other companies in the field, took advantage of June to showcase their merchandise, and this particular event featured the games of distributor Bethesda, which the company recently acquired, and third-party companies. The event aired online on the Xbox YouTube channel.

Redfall

The event opened with the presentation of a Redfall gameplay video. This is a first-person shooting game where players fight an army of vampires, the game comes from the Arkane development studio and will be launched in 2023.

Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport, the racing simulator of Turn 10 Studios, was first unveiled at the event. The game was built for the Xbox Series S | X and PC consoles so that it can display more realistic graphics than before with the use of ray routing, invested environments, a dynamic day and night system on all race tracks and more. It is also expected to hit the market in 2023.

In addition, the company’s current racing game – Forza Horizon 5 – will receive on July 19 another expansion pack that places less emphasis on realistic imagery and more on fun as it brings the cars and tracks of toy brand Hot Wheels to Forza’s world.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Microsoft Flight Simulator brand, Microsoft’s flight simulator is getting an expansion pack to come out in November, and it will include new aircraft: Wright Flyer, Spirit of St. Louis, DC-3, De Havilland Beaver and Airbus A310. There is also a special surprise – the possibility of flying the Pelican spacecraft from the Halo Games universe.

Minecraft Legends

The Minecraft game series expands with another new title – Minecraft Legends – which brings the cube heroes to the strategy games genre and is expected to be released in 2023.

Diablo 4

The event revealed new details about Diablo 4 which is expected to be released in 2023. The character of the magician was revealed and new details about the game world. This time it is a fully open world where the player will have a real impact on the game world and any area that is cleansed of enemies will be able to become a new town, reveal a new maze and so on. The game will allow joint play between the different console players and the PC and even several players on the same console.

Starfield

The event concluded with the presentation of Starfield’s gameplay, the highlight of the broadcast. The video featured an expanded gameplay segment of Bethesda’s new title taking place in space for the first time. Beyond the story, which the players will reveal, the game seems to offer a lot of activities including research of over 1,000 star systems, resource mining, colony establishment, spaceship building and participation in space battles. Starfield was supposed to go out this year but was postponed and even at the event an exact departure date has not yet been announced – and meanwhile we are talking about sometime in 2023.

More big announcements

There were several other big announcements at the event, the most significant of which was Microsoft’s collaboration with the creator Hideo Kojima Responsible for the Metal Gear Solid game series and the Death Stranding game. He will work closely with Microsoft Studios to create a new game.

A collaboration has also been announced with Riot Games and Microsoft, where Xbox Game Pass subscribers will enjoy a variety of benefits in the studio’s various titles and for example will receive all the characters and heroes in League Of Legends and Valorant the founders package in the card game Legends Of Runeterra and more.
