Fresh, clean water is one of Earth’s most precious resources, but it is used up faster than it can be replenished. Recent studies investigating the development of machine learning reveal the importance of its environmental impact. Thus, it was decided to measure the water footprint involved in the development of Artificial Intelligence, that is, the water used in these processes directly and indirectly, obtaining overwhelming results.
