The head of the World Health Organization has said that an attack on hospitals in Ukraine could lead to a health emergency.
Russia has been waging war on Ukraine for the 19th day. In this context, the UN Children’s Fund, the World Health Organization and the UN General Assembly held an emergency consultation meeting on the Russian forces’ attack on hospitals in Ukraine.
At the consultation meeting, World Health Organization (WHO) President Tetrol Adonam said: “Russian forces have so far attacked 31 hospitals and ambulances in Ukraine, killing at least 12 people and wounding more than 30 others. Attacks on health workers and hospitals will also create a health emergency, ”he said.
