IPL match in Chennai
Hindi singer Arijit Singh sang and danced with Tamannaah and the opening ceremony of IPL was held in full swing. The first match will be held on the 3rd at Chennai’s Chepakkam stadium. In this match Chennai Super Kings-Lucknow Super Giants teams are conducting multiple matches. The fact that the IPL matches will be held in Chennai after about 4 years has excited the fans.
Sale of tickets
Ticket sale for the first match was held on 26th. Fans had been waiting since midnight to buy these tickets. Online tickets also sold out within minutes. Tickets were sold directly at the counters at prices of Rs.1,500, Rs.2,000 and Rs.2,500. Similarly, tickets priced at Rs.2,000, Rs.2,500 and Rs.3,000 were sold online.

As fans eagerly await the match to be held in Chennai, the Metro Rail Administration has announced special offers for cricket fans. Accordingly, the Chennai Metro Rail Administration has announced that the IPL matches will be telecast in 3 metro stations in Chennai from April 3rd.
10 per hour
Passengers can watch IPL matches at 5 railway stations namely Vadapalani, Thirumangalam, Central Vimkonagar, Nandanam. The Metro Rail Administration has announced that IPL matches can be watched on LED screens by paying a fee of Rs 10 per hour along with a ticket.
Travel for free
Similarly, on the day of the Chennai Super Kings match in Chepakkam, the Metro Rail Administration has also announced that free bus and train services will be increased from Omanturar Government Estate to Chepakkam Stadium. It has been informed that you can travel for free using the match ticket.
