by time news

In his memory: Three months ago, the poet, songwriter, writer and translator Yoram Taharlev passed away at the age of 84. This morning (Sunday) in collaboration with “Iron Sheep”, a new performance by Shlomi Shabbat, Yardena Arazi, Narkis and Liran Danino was published for Taharlev’s song “All Your Plays Are Not Over Yet”.

The song is not over yet all your plays were written in 1984 by Taharlev and composed by Rami Kleinstein. The song was first performed by the Northern Command Band and it is a love song for the landscapes of the Land of Israel. Taharlev used the overture of the song in the phrase “Our Tiny Country,” as the name of a song written in the 1940s.

Last year, an “Iron Flock” project was launched to commemorate and honor the works of Israeli cultural heroes, poets and songwriters who shaped the soundtrack of the State of Israel. The first project “Yaela VeIboa” was around Taharlev’s works.

Another special musician who took part in the project is Taharlev’s granddaughter, Kama Vardi, who performed a song by her grandfather that has not yet been composed until the project. “On my grandfather’s 80th birthday, I thought that instead of a standard birthday present, I composed for him a song that had never been composed,” Vardi said following her participation.
