After the CBI custody of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was arrested in the liquor policy case, ended, he was produced in a special Delhi court this afternoon. Special Judge MK Nagpal sent him to judicial custody noting that the CBI did not seek further custody.

Court allows Manish Sisodia to carry prescribed medicines during medical examination He is also allowed to carry a pair of glasses, a diary, a pen and a Bhagavad Gita book. The court directed the jail authorities to consider the request of Sisodia’s lawyer to keep him in the meditation room.

Manish Sisodia’s bail plea will be heard on Friday. He was arrested on February 26 and kept in CBI custody for 5 days. The court then extended his CBI custody for two days. In his bail plea, Sisodia, 51, said the CBI officers were asking him the same questions and it was causing him emotional distress. However, the CBI said that Sisodia escaped by not cooperating during the investigation.
