Almaviva announces the consolidation of the collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in order to further accelerate the modernization of the Public Administration and private sector clients in Italy. Almaviva will collaborate with AWS to make AWS services available to all Almaviva group companies. Almaviva will use advanced machine learning (ML) services including: Amazon SageMaker, il AWS service that helps data scientists quickly build, train, and deploy machine learning models; Amazon Connect, an easy-to-use omnichannel cloud contact center solution from AWS, highly scalable and cost-effective that helps businesses deliver superior customer service through voice, chat and tasks at a lower cost than traditional contact center systems; and finally AWS IoT services, to develop innovative solutions for both the public and private sectors in the fields of transport, finance, healthcare and IT security. Almaviva has been collaborating with AWS since 2017. In recent years, Almaviva has gained experience in migrating and managing thousands of cloud environments and has obtained the status of Aws Advanced Consulting Partner, Aws Government Competency Partner and Aws Security Competency Partner. In 2020, Almaviva managed the migration to AWS of Moova, the Almaviva integrated, modular and seamless mobility platform, capable of connecting different modes of transport in a single and advanced technological framework for fast, interconnected and flexible mobility. Migration has made Moova safer, more flexible and more reliable.
This year Almaviva launched a new solution based on AWS Outposts for the Italian National Strategic Pole, the new cloud strategy of the Italian government. AWS Outposts is a fully managed service that gives customers access to AWS infrastructure, services, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and AWS tools from virtually any co-located data center or facility for a seamless hybrid experience.
