1,422 Russians departed from Almaty to Moscow on export flights, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Some of them have already landed. As a reminder, regular flights between Russia and Kazakhstan were suspended due to protests, however, since January 10, Aeroflot will resume flights from Moscow to Nur-Sultan.

“On January 9, 1422 people flew from Alma-Ata by military transport aircraft of the Ministry of Defense (13 flights). At 17:00 Moscow time, two planes landed at the Chkalovsky airport, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Situational Crisis Center said in a Telegram message.

In Kazakhstan, there is a “red”, an increased level of terrorist danger. On January 2, violent protests began there over the decision of the authorities to raise the tariff for liquefied gas. At the request of the President of Kazakhstan, military personnel from the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) arrived there to overcome the threat.
