Alok Kumar Chaudhary has been appointed Managing Director (MD) of SBI Bank, India’s largest bank. SBI has announced that he has been appointed as the official Executive Director since June 7.

Prior to this, Alok Kumar Chaudhary was the Deputy Managing Director, Finance, SBI Bank. SBI has said that Alok Kumar will oversee SBI Bank’s retail business and operations, having now been appointed Managing Director for the entire SBI Bank.

Alok Kumar Chaudhary has been in various responsibilities of SBI Bank for the last about 35 years. Alo Kumar Chaudhary joined SBI Bank in 1987 as Probationary Officer.

Alok Kumar was the General Manager, SBI Ahmedabad, DGM and P&O in Delhi, and DGM and CDO in the North East. He has also been the Chief General Manager for SBI Delhi Region.

He later served as Deputy Managing Director and Corporate Development Officer, HR, SBI Bank. He subsequently served as Deputy Managing Director, SBI Finance. Alok Kumar Chaudhary is currently the Managing Director of SBI Bank.
