CDMX.- Alejandro Rojas Díaz Durán, substitute senator, announced his resignation from the National Regeneration Movement, after warning that the Fourth Transformation party is trying to divert Mexico towards an authoritarian and militarist regime.
In a publication through social networks, he shared a video in which he describes the “Fourth Transformation” movement as the “fourth betrayal” of the Mexican people.

“I have decided to resign from Morena because President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum and Morena insist on continuing to deviate from the principles, commitments and promises contained in the Nation Project that we swear to fulfill for the people of Mexico,” said the legislator. .
“There are the noblest causes and hopes of the people of Mexico, who today feel betrayed, disappointed and deceived because the Fourth Transformation is diverting Mexico towards an authoritarian, undemocratic and militaristic regime,” he expressed.
In the video, the senator recalls that from the Upper House he has spoken out against the situations that he considers to be a deviation from the Fourth Transformation project.

“Millions and millions of Mexicans voted in 2018 to build a democratic presidentialism, not an absolutist presidentialism, which today seeks to eliminate the division of powers,” he mentioned.
