Vahan Kerobyan, in his position as a minister, has the opportunity to listen attentively to business, the private sector, and raise the issues of that sector in the government, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said while introducing the newly appointed minister Vahan Kerobyan to the staff of the Ministry of Economy, recalling his last meeting with Kerobyan.
Kerobyan complained about the executive’s lack of attention when listening to the private sector.
Responding to the Prime Minister, the head of the department said.
“Although I have criticized, but all the same, your work is worthy of respect and admiration, because the team that was formed, the problems that arose before the end of the first quarter of this year, were solved in a brilliant way. It’s just that, in my opinion, the coronavirus and the war situation have brought new realities and the order of challenges has changed. In other words, we are now in a completely different reality, both in terms of speed and scale of problems. I think the team I met today is capable of solving these problems, because I feel that fire and the drive to solve the not so easy problems facing our country.”
He also emphasized that the vision of “Armenia-2050” will remain in the focus of attention, despite the devastation of the war.
“That’s going to be the benchmark we’re going to have to move to, 10 percent economic growth on average, and so on. We have no other option but to succeed,” Kerobyan noted.
