“I want to thank the Ashdod Sports Club for 3 wonderful years in every way! I thank this club for every minute I belonged to it!”. This is how Firas Abu Aqal opened his farewell post from Ashdod CBS. Abu Akal moved to play in Azerbaijan.
Abu Akal continues: “During my years in the team I have made a huge leap forward personally and professionally, and I leave with the feeling that I have become a player with more responsibility and leadership.
Huge thanks to the two coaches I played with in the team, Ran Ben Shimon and Roni Awat, along with the rest of the professional team, including Moshe Ohayon, Rafael Castro and Ehud Ben Shoshan who have played a huge part in my progress. Of course a huge thank you also to Dudu Dahan my friend and agent who never stops supporting me.
Thanks to Jackie Ben Zaken and Noni Almoznino, and to the rest of the club who have always been honest and decent with me, and have always given me a warm personal treatment. Thank you very much to all the other people, players and fans who were partners in my journey in Ashdod, I appreciate and love you very much!
Although I say goodbye to Ashdod now, this club will always remain in my heart. “
