One of the most frequent problems faced by Latin baseball players in MLB is taking their family members to the United States due to the visa process. However, the one who has already overcome this stage was José Alvarado.
Although it was a difficult process, the Philadelphia Phillies reliever was able to spend Christmas with his mother in Florida.
“It’s the kind of Christmas I’ve missed, but it’s the Christmas I’m going to have. It is going to be a wonderful day for my family now that we are all together,” Alvarado told Las Mayores last Friday.
What a Christmas it will be for José Alvarado and his family. His mom, sister and two children finally got to the U.S. after years of trying.

And according to MLB, José Alvarado’s family was in the visa process for almost two years to be able to enter the United States. But it was this December 9 that his mother, his sister and his two children arrived in the United States to spend the holidays.

Without a doubt, a quite strong process from which many Latinos who reside in the United States do not escape.
