Alzheimer’s but no complaints: how this is possible is now being investigated

Some people with ‘Alzheimer protein’ in their brain do not develop any symptoms, while others do develop dementia due to these proteins. The Limburg scientist Willemijn Jansen wants to know why. She has won the Young Outstanding Research (YOR) Award from Alzheimer Nederland for her research. This prize is associated with a cash prize of 100,000 euros.
