“Alzheimer’s Cafe Meeting: Personal Story of Living with Dementia & Support for Caregivers”

On Wednesday, June 14, a meeting of the Alzheimer Café will take place in the Zwanenburg service center, Zwanenburgstraat 62 in Katwijk.

This evening Linda van der Voort is the guest speaker, her father Anton has been diagnosed with Dementia for years and lives in a nursing home. She takes you into her personal story of hearing the diagnosis, the sadness and the moment of admission to the nursing home and everything after.

Dementia has a major impact on life. What does that do to your relationship when your loved one gets dementia. The complicated thing about this disease is that the person can change as a person.

Annelies van Paridon, social worker informal care support Welzijnskwartier, is also a guest, she will tell us what we can do for you as an informal caregiver.

You are welcome from 19:00, the program starts at 19:30. The meeting ends between 9:15 and 9:30 PM. Registration is not required and admission is free.

The Alzheimer Café Katwijk is a meeting point for patients, relatives, care providers, volunteers and other interested parties who want to know more about living with dementia. The Alzheimer Café Katwijk is a partnership between Curadomi, DSV, Topaz, Buurtzorg Katwijk, Welzijnskwartier and Alzheimer Nederland.
