The founder and first shareholder of Inditex, Amancio Ortega, through his investment arm Pontegadeahas acquired a logistics complex in the Baldonnell Business Park in Dublin, whose main tenant is Amazon, for an amount of 225 million euros, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources familiar with the operation.

This is Ortega’s first logistics operation in Ireland, where it already has other assets.

Until now, said logistics complex, which has five tenants with long-term contracts, was owned by the industrial and logistics real estate development specialist Mountparkaccording to the newspaper ‘The Irish Times’.

The logistics complex has an area of ​​about 120,000 square meters and Amazon is the tenant with the highest volume and a surface area of 63,000 square meters.

In this way, Pontegadea continues with its real estate investments after entering a total of 2,217 million euros in dividends from Inditex, above the 1,718 million it received for this concept last year.

The founder of Inditex invests part of the dividends that you receive from Inditex in the real estate sector.
