Zwaan Stassen, treasurer of the Twente department of the Association of Retired Transport Personnel, was completely perplexed when she heard on Friday morning that the monument had been destroyed again. The resident of a farm on the Grobbenweg on whose land the monument stands was the bearer of the bad news. More than six years ago, the monument was finally removed from its base. Stassen is baffled that history has repeated itself.
