A new alliance has been formed between Amazon India and TVS companies. According to the agreement signed between the two companies, Amazon India will use TVS electric scooters for delivery work.
Amazon plans to have 10,000 electric vehicles on Indian roads by 2025. Accordingly Amazon has decided to implement the project through this agreement. However, no information has been released yet on the exact variant of the iCube models that will be used for delivery.
It is said that Amazon may buy the entry-level iCube model as it will be used for delivery purposes. Not all the features on the scooter are useful for delivery workers. However, when doing so, range and charging time are a concern.
To counter this, TVS is said to be developing an iCube variant for Amazon that offers more range and performance. Due to the agreement signed between the two companies, it seems that the use of electric vehicles in India will increase further.
