Amazon, the online retailer owned by entrepreneur Jeff Bezos, plans to donate $1 million to US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration fund.

As Day.Az reports, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) writes about this.

According to the publication, Meta Corporation, headed by Mark Zuckerberg, previously sent a similar amount to the fund of the future head of state.

The newspaper notes that Bezos and other leaders of technology companies are using donations to improve relations with the new American administration. At the same time, Amazon made the decision to allocate funds several days ago and has already notified representatives of the elected US President about this.

In addition, next week the Amazon owner intends to personally visit Trump’s residence in Florida. Journalists also found out that on January 20 next year, the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform will launch a broadcast of Trump’s inauguration ceremony. This could be seen as another $1 million donation to the future president’s foundation.
