Attempts by the United States to conduct a “dialogue through sanctions” with Russia are unacceptable and violate international law. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, commenting on the statements of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on new sanctions related to the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
“Dialogue through sanctions is unacceptable and violates international law. We regard all attempts against Russian oil and gas exports to Europe as unfair competition that undermines the principles of a free market, ”the diplomat said.
