“On behalf of the people of Israel, I want to say to the people of Azerbaijan that you have touched our hearts, thank you!”
Israel’s ambassador to Baku, George Dick, said this in his statement regarding the attitude of Azerbaijan to the events that have taken place in this country in recent days.
“I stopped counting how many messages, emails, whatsapp and calls we received from people from different walks of life. The arrangement of flowers in front of the gate of the embassy is really heartwarming,” the ambassador said.
In a statement, the ambassador noted that October 7 will be remembered as the blackest day in Jewish history after the Holocaust.
“Hamas terrorists started an unexpected war by attacking the cities in the south of Israel to kill and kidnap Israeli citizens. As a result of the events, more than 700 Israelis died, more than 100 people were kidnapped and more than 2000 people were injured. “Although the timing of the attack was a surprise, the brutality was not.”
The ambassador believes that Israel will change the reality of the Middle East this time as well.
“There are hundreds of Israelis waiting to donate blood. Hundreds of Israelis volunteer to help their people in the South in times of need. There are people flying back from all over the world to join the army and fight for justice. We are a nation of lions who will protect their family and land. We are determined, we are united and we will win,” the ambassador said.
