In a sudden twist in the Ambattur student suicide case, a school teacher was arrested under the POCSO Act and jailed.
A student who had completed his 12th class last year in Ambattur was waiting to join the college. In this situation, on 30th August last, the student went to State College Chennai with his friends for counseling and returned home in the evening. After this, he tried to commit suicide by hanging himself in his bedroom.
Seeing this, his parents rescued him and took him to a private hospital in Ambattur for treatment. The doctors who examined him there said that the student died on the way. Subsequently, the Ambattur police registered a suspicious case and conducted an investigation. In this, the student was studying at Sir Ramasamy Mudaliar Higher Secondary School in Ambattur for the last 3 years under the tuition of a teacher named Sharmila who was working as a temporary teacher in the same school.
Then the student Krishna Kumar and the teacher Sharmila became friends. It is said that this eventually turned into love and became intimate. Meanwhile, teacher Sharmila has been visited by a groom at her house. Because of this, he avoided friendship with the student. And the teacher has completely cut off contact with the student because he is sure of it. Due to this, the student has repeatedly forced the teacher Sharmila to speak.
Following this, the student hanged himself in his home as the teacher refused to continue the romance. After this, the police department said that all these have come out when his mobile phone was examined. Subsequently, the Ambattur All Women Police registered a case against the teacher under the POCSO Act and arrested her. The incident has created a lot of excitement in the area.
