Mumbai/Ahmednagar: A big controversy broke out during the birth anniversary program of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. An argument broke out between two groups at a program organized on the occasion of Ambedkar’s birth anniversary at Delhi Gate in the city. Which later turned into a scuffle. This incident happened around 9:30 pm. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against about 61 people of both the groups at Tofkhana police station.Case against how many people?
According to the complaint of a woman, a case has been registered against 37 people including Raviraj Ajay Salve. According to the complaint filed by Rahul Ajay Salve of the other group, a case has been registered against 24 people including Vijay Pathare.
How did the dispute happen?
In fact, on Friday night at around 9.30 pm, a program was organized on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Late Baba Saheb Ambedkar at Ahmednagar-Neelkranti Chowk in the city. In this program, there was an altercation between former corporator Ajay Salve’s son and Vijay Pathare over playing another song in place of Bhima song. This later took the form of a violent fight. Meanwhile, 15 to 20 workers of Pathare started arguing and threw chairs. Also, many people were seriously injured due to the use of small arms.
Three people injured in the clash
Three people were injured in this clash. He was admitted to the district hospital. After this incident, women of both the groups staged a protest in front of Tofkhana police station and demanded registration of a case. This created an atmosphere of tension. The police intervened in time and appealed to both the groups to remain calm. After this the atmosphere became calm.
Police busy in catching the accused
On the other hand, as soon as information about the incident was received, Deputy Superintendent Bharti and Inspector Darade, in-charge of the Artillery Police Station, reached the spot along with the police force. In this incident, on the complaint of Salve, a case has been registered in Tofkhana police station against 15 people including Vijay Pathare under sections like attempt to murder, rioting and other sections. After seeing the footage of the area, the police has started arresting the accused.
