“Tauragė challenges Lithuanian resorts and intends to become one of the most popular centers of attraction for those looking for pleasant experiences during their travels or comfortable rest while staying in this region. We predict 55 percent. occupancy, which corresponds to the average of successfully operating Lithuanian hotels”, Eglė Rukšėnaitė, director of hotel and spa development company E77, shares the news.
The renovated 4-star hotel “Tauragė” will be located next to the city castle, on the main square, by the Jura River.
The completely renovated building will reflect the stylish mid-century modern aura of the last century.
The hotel in a small town was revived by the new owners – UAB “Agavos prekyba”, and the concept for the hotel was created by the company E77.
“Tauragė Hotel is the second in this city managed by our team, and it is even four times larger than the first,” says hotel director Tadas Alijošius.
E. Rukšėnaitė, an expert in the development of hotels and spa centers with extensive experience, says about the new hotel: “A hotel of this level in Taurage is new. In small European towns, high-quality multi-purpose hotels have been successfully operating for decades. We would find such in Germany, Sweden, Poland or elsewhere.
Recently, we, as developers, have received a number of orders from the municipalities of small Lithuanian towns with a request to help develop hotels of this level, but businesses do not dare to contribute to the development of this idea and do projects of this level in small towns”.
There is no other hotel of this level in Central Lithuania that can accommodate 140-160 guests and can offer them both commercial premises for rent and spaces for organizing events.
The price of a night’s stay at the “Tauragė” hotel, depending on the season and length of stay, would vary from 60 to 99 euros.
The hotel will be equipped with 70 rooms, from which guests will be able to choose single, double or deluxe apartments according to their needs. The rooms are designed with a bathroom and a kitchenette, and the deluxe classes also have a living room.
It is planned to equip a conference hall where it will be possible to organize events for 100 participants, and if the hall is combined with a restaurant, up to 250 guests will feel comfortable in one space. Mobile hotel solutions will make it possible to transform spaces into smaller ones for 10 to 50 people.
A gym space is also planned, which is available to all hotel guests.
The owners of the “Tauragė” hotel promise to create 30 to 50 jobs in the region.
The impression of the modernity of the renovated “Tauragė” hotel building and other modern solutions were created by the architect Algirdas Stripinis of the “UP architektai” company.
The hotel has a long history, so when renovating the spaces, we wanted to respect both the original architecture of the building and the style of the interior. Strict geometric shapes with elements of plastic lines create spaces that breathe modernity, while subtle details remind of the modernism of the 1970s and 1980s.
