An ambulance overturned at a traffic intersection in the Obrera neighborhood, in the Cuauhtémoc municipality, after being hit by a car; the incident left three vehicles involved and people injured.
On Friday morning, ambulance 676 of the Emergency Medical Care System (SAMU) was on its way to respond to an emergency when it was hit by a private vehicle at the intersection of 5 de Febrero and José T. Cuellar streets, causing the medical unit to overturn.

The local Health Department (Sedesa) reported the incident through its social media, where it indicated that none of the people involved suffered serious injuries.
“Fortunately, neither the personnel of the unit nor anyone involved have any serious injuries,” the local health department said, adding that the corresponding insurance companies have managed the damages caused.
For their part, elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) went to the scene of the incident, where they observed the overturned emergency unit and a black vehicle and a damaged white van, after which they proceeded to cordon off the area and request the support of paramedics.
Members of the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squad (ERUM) arrived at the scene and diagnosed the ambulance driver with a vertical sprain and lumbago, while the co-pilot was assessed as having multiple injuries, so they were transferred to a hospital for further care.
The driver of the car was diagnosed with hypertensive crisis, which also required his transfer to a nearby hospital; while the individual who was driving the van was diagnosed with a simple contusion, which did not require hospital care.

The Heroic Fire Department and the Undersecretary of Traffic Control, with the implementation of a crane, joined forces to place the ambulance in its normal position and to remove the vehicles involved in the accident.
The facts were also reported to the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s Office agent to determine responsibilities.
It should be noted that the accident caused disruption to vehicle traffic, as well as to the service on Trolleybus Line 2.
