A new shooting confirms Chicago’s sinister reputation as a violent city. This time the victims are very young: two students from a private high school were in fact killed by a group of killers who acted among the crowd.
Witnesses said they heard at least ten shots. It happened shortly after noon a few blocks from Millennium Park, a place frequented by teenagers. Six people, all with their faces covered, came out of two cars and started shooting. The two students, one aged 16 and the other 17, who had just left school together with some classmates, were hit by bullets. Rushed to hospital, they died shortly after. A girl was grazed by a bullet but not injured. The six killers then fled by car. Two of them entered a store and changed their clothes.
