AMDL plans to launch work on developing new logistics zones

These areas are in addition to the one located south of Agadir (Ait Melloul), whose development work is nearing completion, the ministry said in a statement following a meeting held Friday by the AMDL Council, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil.

This meeting was devoted to the approval of the Agency’s accounts for the 2023 financial year and the presentation of its main achievements for the first half of 2024.

It was also an opportunity to review the main achievements of the AMDL during the first half of 2024, during which the Agency consolidated its efforts to accelerate the implementation of logistics zones in Morocco, particularly through the deployment of a priority program totaling 750 hectares by 2028, the press release added.

This program aims to offer logistics land developed to the best standards, intended to accommodate buildings and logistics installations to consolidate flows in areas of concentration of goods traffic, specifies the same source.

Furthermore, the AMDL is working, in collaboration with private sector partners, to develop the 2nd edition of the logistics upgrade program for businesses, which offers technical and financial support to improve the logistics competitiveness of supply chain players, with a view to complementing other public support programs, the press release emphasizes.

At the end of its work, the Council approved the Agency’s accounts for the year 2023, characterized by a commitment of 75% of the investment budget of 300 million dirhams (MDH) and sent a message of fidelity and loyalty to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
