America is ‘Satan’ itself; Joe Biden is promoting chaos and terror in Iran: Ibrahim Raisi
Tehran: President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi said that US President Joe Biden is the reason for the protests in the country. He also said that Joe Biden’s remarks are promoting anarchy and terrorism to fuel the destruction of another country.
President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi pointed out that the actions of the United States are reminiscent of the words of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the founder of the Islamic Republic and the supreme leader of Iran, who previously described the United States as Satan.
“The US president’s remarks inciting anarchy, terrorism and the destruction of another country are reminiscent of the words of the founder of the Islamic Republic, who called America the great ‘Satan,'” Raisi said.
Expressing his condolence over the death of Mahsa Amini, Raisi added that efforts are being made to solve the problem of the people of the country by countering the enemy’s conspiracy in a better way.
US President Joe Biden has announced his support for nationwide anti-hijab protests. This angered Iran.
On Friday, US President Joe Biden responded to the protests in Iran saying that he stands with the country’s citizens and brave women. After the Iranian forces brutally suppressed the protesters, the US imposed new sanctions against Iran.
US Vice President Kamala Harris also expressed solidarity with the anti-hijab protests in Iran the other day. Kamala visited Iran-born British actress and activist Nazanin Boniadi to express her and the US’s support.
22-year-old Mahsa Amini was detained by Iran’s morality police on September 13 for not wearing a proper headscarf. Amini was arrested while traveling with his family to Tehran. Three days later on September 16, Amini was killed in police custody.
Later, women took to the streets in large numbers to protest Amini’s death, pulling their hijabs off their heads, burning them and cutting their hair.
Earlier, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had described the nationwide protests as a rebellion engineered by Iran’s arch-enemies and their allies.
