American Airlines buys 20 supersonic Overture jets from Boom Supersonic

American Airlines and Boom Supersonic announce an agreement to purchase 20 aircraft Overture, with an option for 40 additional aircraft. the planesOverture are expected to fly at a speed twice as high as the fastest commercial airplane today.

The supersonic planes are designed to meet the needs of speed, safety and sustainability in the best possible way and are expected to fly about 600 routes around the world in half the current time. For example, a flight between Miami and London will take less than 5 hours, or from Los Angeles to Honolulu in just 3 hours.
